DMD’s Take on Being Social Media Worthy

The DMD back office has been buzzing with positive noise lately. When the conversation is about social media, a lively wind blows into its windows when we start talking about recent shoots. There is no doubt when it comes to social media as a very effective tool of communication, not just on the front end, but on the backend as well.

Speaking of positive encouragement, Max Slama’s photos on 928 Denali Street have been getting a lot of attention with comments like, “Incredible job, Max! Well done!!! Stunning photography for a stunning home. I encourage everyone to look through this shot.”

And wouldn’t you be delighted to see this picture on your feed, even if you’re not buying. This photo was taken by Brett Renfro of Herrington and Company, LLC. The listing is now active in the market and you can contact her at renfro.brett@gmail.com if you have inquiries.

Dave Davis has certainly shown his prowess when it comes to real estate photography in this shoot at 12333 End St, Eagle River, for the Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group. It’s still a coming soon listing but we’ll surely keep our eyes open for such a beautiful home.

Such a diamond can never go unnoticed. “I'd like to encourage everyone to take the time that you need to make every corner of the home shine. This place had so much junk and vehicles on the property, but Dave found the angle that worked for the exterior. Even the small, crummy homes deserve our best attention.” -Trina Davis, Marketing

There’s still a lot of buzz to talk about but we’ll have to be concise as we’ll have to talk about the purpose, more importantly. So, why is it important to be social media worthy? And what does it mean to be one?

Social Media and Marketing Goes Hand-in-hand

As you know and may have noticed, social media is the new marketplace. It’s where people gather and it's a good opportunity to showcase anything worth sharing. Not just to sell, but to give value to visitors, and value can be as simple as letting someone experience a home’s aesthetics and get them out of their physical spaces for a while. An onlooker would just scroll through their feed not knowing that seeing beautiful photos such as these has given a positive vibe; perhaps to be in the comforts of the space, or even dream and hope to have one in the future.

More importantly, social media has become one of the most effective marketing tools. Communication goes beyond actual conversations through pictures. As a real estate marketing company, DMD makes sure to convey a story, or a message with every post we put out. It cannot be denied that crisp high definition images of beautiful homes hook people in; either to real estate or towards photography. One may not be actively looking but may have unconsciously desired to be involved in it and the thought will surely come up in their minds in the future when the time calls for it.

For example, if someone is ready to move to a new address they will think, “Oh, I’m looking for a new home, let me check DMD’s Instagram, there were great homes I found there before.” In this way, not only does the photographer gain clout, but the real estate agents behind the works benefit as well.

Making Impact Beyond Our Locality

DMD Real Estate Photography has been Alaska’s best real estate partner since its founding. We have made a mark beyond Alaska. Search engine searches bring out the name on its first pages when someone is looking for real estate in the state. Therefore, reaching out to anyone in the world.

Truly, Alaska has a lot of scenic views and a place with beautiful nature sights. DMD contributes to the collection by featuring nature in the backgrounds of homes and making sure to give homage to what it can offer.

Check out this aerial shot by Elijah Lesley for 1335 S Badger Rd in Palmer, which offers a great welcome to the spring season in Alaska.

Matt Steele, the realtor who commissioned this shoot was surely happy with how this turned out. You can check out his website here.

DMD has taken the responsibility of bringing Alaska into the world and in doing so has helped boost its tourism and reputation as a place to be. As the state’s best real estate marketing partner, the company has been an instrument to invite more people to visit, and eventually stay.

As a marketing company, you may think that we only provide value to our clients. But pictures on social media have now been given a new purpose. By expanding our reach through social media, we also give inspiration to beginners and encourage anyone to dream. It has been DMD’s goal always to give value beyond entertainment.

The Age of Memes versus Long-held Professionalism

Speaking of entertainment, one cannot deny the impact of memes to organizations’ social media presence. Here’s good information about using memes as a tool for marketing and branding.

Brands have held a long withstanding professional image depending on their clients. But there is a way to bridge the gap between being goofy and upholding a professional image. Besides, using memes is a way to humanize a brand and connect more to their audience with an authentic voice.

Here’s a good thought to ponder. Perhaps, go out of the serious environment from time to time and see what’s going outside the street. In this way, the brand can be more contemporary and reach out to the younger generation. While keeping your current clients, one should also make an effort to get new ones.

Keep Swimming, Keep Your Head Above the Water

As we move towards the coming years, companies and organizations are braving a wave of change. By change, we mean here the challenges of the new age of the internet. You may not know if but your page can get buried in an enormous pile of pages, making it the last priority to appear in people’s newsfeed.

Facebook, Instagram, or Google Business pages will have to be talked about more. Let me tell you a little secret, a very important keyword: algorithm. This is how social media works. If someone mentions or talks about a certain thing, let’s say, “photography”; advertisements will start showing up on that person’s feed. And not only that, if he or she is sharing the internet, everyone in that IP address will show the same ads.

So, if your page is what people are talking about, it will just show up on its own through social media’s algorithm. This is how you keep your head above water, or your company for that purpose. Keep posting, never stop, and always be relatable and updated.

This is DMD Real Estate Marketing’s take on being social media worthy. Provide value and always put yourself out there. The apps themselves are like invisible hands which will work in your favor as long as you exist on social media. Expect us to post more as we will always be coming from pride in the good work that we do.

Our longevity is our providence. We exist. Now it’s time to spread our presence.
