Positive Company Culture in Motion: Realtors Give Back to the Communities

Philanthropy is always at the heart of every company, especially those on real estate, who, aside from helping people find the best homes, also take time to help their neighbors and be part of optimistic endeavors to make the world a better place.

Each year, Keller Williams sets aside the second Thursday of May to step away from their businesses, don their KW gear, and go into the communities with three goals in mind: Renew, Energize, and Donate. They have coined the acronym as RED day, which is dedicated to setting the core of their company culture in motion, to help out in whatever way they can.

There may not be a lot of buzz about the activity as beyond appearances, KW Alaska Group's goal is the authentic purpose of making a positive impact that's going to last. But good works deserve to be known all throughout to influence more waves of good deeds. That's what DMD was there for, to document the event and let others know that the Real Estate Business is not just about selling houses for profit, but of course, as the core is of every business, to help and be agents of change.

This year, KW agents and realtors put on their working gloves and gear to improve Snider Memorial Park in Wasilla. Hand-in-Hand, realtors step down from their high office chairs and engaged in worth while tasks such as rebuilding and painting structures that will surely benefit many people in the future. As you know, little things, no matter how small they are can set a butterfly motion and become huge philanthropic factors someday.

So, it should be a philosophy of every business and every company to always give back to the community they are serving and to take every opportunity to inspire others to do good. And so forth, many others will follow, setting one goal at the center of everything and build great foundations. RED Day is all about renewing connections, energizing people to be part of greater things, and donating to those who are in need.

DMD was there. Seeing camaraderie unravel in front of our eyes, we couldn't help but take out our camera to capture such magnificent events. As documentation is what we do best, we couldn't resist the urge to share KW's great company culture; the culture that we also share with them. Yes, we have to be there, as we understand how important it is for a company's foundation to include the communities. In the first place, they are the ones we serve, thus we are part of it, and do what we have to do to make every nook and cranny of Alaska a great place.

DMD has been marketing homes for more than a decade, helping realtors help buyers get into the house of their dreams; why not market their good deeds too? KW RED day was surely a blast and we look forward to the next one and the impact it will have on Alaska's local areas and its residents.
