Contemporary Remodel on Marston Drive
Home for Sale by Cody Keim, RE/MAX Dynamic Properties
As soon as I pulled up to our photo shoot appointment, I knew that I would want to come back late at night to get a twilight shot of this home. Unfortunately for us living in Alaska, twilight doesn't happen until 1 am this time of year. Luckily my client was willing to stay up late otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get the shot that I had envisioned. The design and layout of the home is unique to Anchorage, Alaska and I knew that it really would help set this home apart.
The original home was built in 1960 and is still a part of the existing structure as seen from this angle. The homeowners simply added on the new addition in 2013, both upstairs and downstairs, giving it a new contemporary look and feel.
Keeping with the modern exterior design, the interior of the home is furnished with an array of IKEA furniture and Jenn-Air Appliances. The sun was sitting high in the sky by the time of our appointment and was barely coming through the big beautiful dining room windows, so we decided to bring in some of our own sun, like we have done on so many other homes. We really wanted to people to see the benefit to those windows.
The design of the kitchen is refreshing to see, especially here in Anchorage where the majority of homes we photograph are very traditional.
I decided to shoot this a little more like a commercial shoot than a Real Estate shoot due to the design and layout. There were just too many photographs popping into my mind as I composed each shot. I ended up filling an entire memory card on just this one home, which is something I rarely due.
I always seem to take my favorite images towards the end of a shoot and this home was no exception. This image was one of the last I took, and so far is one of my favorites of the entire space.
We really enjoyed photographing this amazing home! If you want more information please contact the listing agent Cody Keim at RE/MAX Dynamic Properties in Anchorage Alaska.
